The Children’s Garden {Ann Arbor Family Photographer}
Now that the weather is nice, and my daughter is done with young fives, we are out and about enjoying what Ann Arbor has to offer the kiddos. One of our favorite spots is the children’s garden at the Matthaei Botanical Gardens. It is the perfect place for an outdoor, make believe adventure. My daughter loves to look at and smell the flowers along the path to children’s play area, and my son loves to collect rocks and pack his pockets full of pebbles. In addition the sand box and log cabin, there is a maze of wooden doors you can lock and unlock. My daughter could spend the entire morning playing with the doors. My son, on the other hand, loves to build his own fort with the piles of wood. On the particular day we went, it got rather hot, so we headed inside to enjoy the conservatory as well. This is a special place for our family because my husband and I were married in the conservatory. It is magical to go back there with the kids to enjoy the beauty. They had fun watching the fish in the koi pond and checking out the exotic desert and tropical plants. Here is a peak at this hidden treasure for kids in our community.
