I met this family of three at one of my favorite Ann Arbor parks to take family photos in celebration of this little guy’s first birthday. I love to capture those first moments when we meet. I like to chat with mom and dad for a bit before we start the “formal” session in order to let the little ones get used to me and the big camera. I chat. I snap. In this case, while talking with mom, we captured one of my favorite images from their session. He was in momma’s arms, very comfortable and curious.
After capturing a few candid moments, I like to have the family snuggle up and play while I capture those smiles, then we are up and moving again. We captured playful moments with dad, snuggles in pretty light with mom, and even a nice portrait in his formal Korean dress in honor of his birthday celebration.
