I keep talking myself out of beginning this project. I must confess my inspiration came from the coffee mug. I bought it back in July. My family and I were in the midst of packing up our house for the second time in two years; and for one evening, I escaped with a friend to do a little shopping. It probably wasn’t the best idea since I was currently disgusted with the quantity of boxes amassed in our foyer, living room, playroom, lining the halls of the upstairs. I picked a lot of items up in the store that evening and promptly put them back down. But this mug had to come home with me.

Drinking coffee in the morning is sacred ritual. It has been since I was 16 or 17. I wanted to capture this moment in the morning in the new house. A new beginning.
