25 Days of Christmas: Days 8-24 {Ann Arbor Child Photographer}

Last year, I started a tradition with the kiddos as a way to count down to Christmas.  I posted our first week of activities already and had hopes of posting each week. Unfortunately, our family came down with a nasty cold that ended in an asthma flare for my three year old. Some days we did nothing but cuddle and get through the day.  Once we were feeling better, we did a couple of activities each day.  We created snowman play doh, snowman paint, made handprint Christmas tree art, marshmallow snowmen, drank hot chocolate, painted ornaments (they are meant to be gifts for family, but my three year old cannot fathom why we would give away his artwork), made Santa slime, ate Santa strawberries, opened Christmas jammies on xmas eve, and opened presents Christmas morning.

While many of our holiday plans and traditions went out the window this year due to my son’s illness, I learned that it is more important to focus on the people than the traditions. I am grateful that we are healthy and here. My heart goes out to my friends and family who lost someone this year and who are missing  someone who passed before. I hope you and your family were able to snuggle up and enjoy each other.
