I have joined a group of inspiring and talented photographers from around the world in a blog circle. Our goal is to post 5 photos on the 5th of every month for a year.
“Is the spring coming?” he said. “What is it like?”… “It is the sun shining on the rain and the rain falling on the sunshine…” Frances Hodgson Burnett, The Secret Garden
The weather is finally warm enough for the kiddos and I to spend more time outside. I think we are all happiest outside in the sun. My first photo is a macro shot of the lilac bush in front of our house. I look forward to the purple blooms, which should be here shortly. Along with the flowers, we can enjoy the sidewalk chalk, which no one is trying to eat this year. Such milestones.
We have had a lot of wind this past month, which made for a fun black and white shot of my daughter’s hair. The shot of my son is one of my new favorites. It was a gorgeous spring day, and he walked up to me after spending a good 10 minutes hopping down this hill, and said, “momma, me happy.”
The kids even get along better when we are outside (and actually followed some direction as I scooted them toward the sun in the last shot).
Please follow our blog circle and check out my friend Allison’s post for May.
